OUR VINEYARDS

VINEYARDS

We believe in long-term partnerships and planting contracts, and we have sourced the majority of our grapes from the Usibelli Vineyard, which has been owned by the same family since 1955. We have had the pleasure of working and sourcing grapes from Usibelli for 17 years.

It is located just 15 minutes outside of St. Helena in Pope Valley and “off the beaten path’’, a quieter area of Napa Valley. This vineyard produces grapes which are of gold standard in the region.

We source additional grapes from throughout Napa Valley and beyond which allows for flexibility. This variation and prime selection of fruit rounds out our wines and helps achieve our final desired style.

SOURCING – BLOCKS & CLONES

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is primarily from a choice ‘Hillside Block’ in Vineyard 10/ Block 2 at the south tip of the vineyard. It is hilly, well-drained, gravely, and loamy soil. This moderates the vigor of the vines and maintains water and stress levels.

We use 2 Cabernet Clones, clone 7 produces small, intense berries which is excellent for a balanced skin to flesh/juice ratio. As well as clone 337, which produces more juicy, plump berries.

Our Sauvignon Blanc for the Fume Blanc is from Vineyard 7 /Blocks 1 & 2.
Our grapes are hand harvested at night when it’s cool. We yield 2-4 tons per acre depending on the vintage.
