Derek Benham, Founder  |  Steven Urberg, Winemaker

Benham, an explorer at heart founded Scattered Peaks to pay homage to his favorite adventures along the land and sea.

Together with their shared love of adventure he and Urberg craft Scattered Peaks wines, sourcing grapes from the mountains and hillsides.

An industry veteran of over 25 years, Urberg always focuses on maintaining balance in the winemaking process and outcome.

When crafting Scattered Peaks wines, he is not tethered to a certain ‘recipe.’ He is able to experiment and does not cut corners to make the best Napa Valley wines possible.
